BESIX constructs three buildings for the Liv-De Molens real estate project in Deinze

Real estate developer De Molens nv (3D Real Estate-Atenor) has awarded BESIX the contract to build the Liv-De Molens project in Deinze (Belgium). This project consists, in addition to an underground level with 107 parking spaces, storage rooms and technical rooms, of three new buildings comprising 106 quality apartments and 8 commercial spaces.

Liv - De Molens lies in the heart of the centuries-old historical centre of Deinze and breathes history. The location was traditionally particularly attractive for trade and transport thanks to the Leie and the intersection of two important trade routes. Liv - De Molens will be built right on that crossroads.

The architecture, by the Norwegian architect Reiulf Ramstad, in collaboration with URA Architects and B2Ai, will integrate old buildings of a former grain mill with the new buildings to be erected.A new park will also be created around the buildings. The park is the green lung of Liv - De Molens, with winding paths flanked by benches and planted with native plants and trees.

The real estate project Liv - De Molens is being developed by 3D Real Estate in collaboration with Atenor. Construction by BESIX will start in October 2021 and will be completed in January 2024.

Mark Beyst, General Manager of BESIX Flanders-Brussels: “Liv-De Molens is a beautiful real estate project that BESIX is very proud to carry out. Our client can count on our extensive experience to deliver high quality buildings that meet the high ambitions of the project. I would also like to thank the teams of 3D Real Estate-Atenor for their trust and the quality of our cooperation.”
