The Oosterweel site

Nailed walls & Bored piles

Our actions for the Oosterweel site

Next phase of the Oosterweel site commissioned by ROCO

After completing a nailed wall to stabilize the bridge, we are currently installing 78 bored piles under limited height using the Martello machine. This is a complex task due to height restrictions. Starting in mid-February, we will begin installing 55 bored piles under free height using the Bauer machine to continue the work under optimal conditions.

Project objective

A healthier and more mobile city

Improve traffic flow and redesign the road infrastructure. The project aims to better integrate the Antwerp Ring Road into its surroundings by directing part of the traffic through tunnels and creating new green spaces. An initiative that contributes to a greener, more pleasant, healthier, and more mobile city.
